Our preliminary meeting on site

This week marked the very first meeting for the Chertsey Community Garden, and we couldn’t be happier with how it went. A small but passionate group of volunteers came down to chat, share ideas, and begin shaping the vision for our new community space.

There was no shortage of enthusiasm as we discussed everything from planting ideas and layouts to how we’d like the space to grow over time. It was inspiring to see so many creative ideas and a shared passion for improving our local area.

While we didn’t get our hands dirty just yet, the excitement is definitely building for our next meet-up in two weeks’ time, when we’ll be rolling up our sleeves and getting stuck into digging the beds.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming even more volunteers—and yes, there will be refreshments to keep us all going!
